Ellsworth Softball No-Hits John Bapst Wins 8-0

On Senior Recognition Day at Ellsworth High School, Senior Kenzie Chipman and Freshman Tyler Hellum combined to throw a no-hitter and the Eagles beat the Crusaders 8-0 on Wednesday, May 22nd.

Chipman started for Ellsworth and went 4.1 innings striking out 8 and walking 1. Hellum threw the final 2.2 innings, striking out 4 and hitting a batter.

Kayla Duhaime hit a home run for Ellsworth. Katie Hammer was 3-4 at the plate with 3 singles. Lexi Rossi had a double. Sydney Stevens, Trinity Montigny, and Ellie Clarke all singled for the Eagles.

Ellsworth is now 10-3 with 3 games remaining. They play at Hermon Thursday, May 23rd at 4:30, at Old Town on Friday, May 24 at 4:30 and then finish the regular season on Wednesday, May 29th at MDI at 4:30

John Bapst is 4-9 and plays host to MDI on Friday, May 24th at Husson University at 4:30
