Ellsworth School Board Votes for Ellsworth to Go Mask Optional Effective Friday March 4th

The Ellsworth School Board voted to go Mask Optional 4-1 effective Friday March 4th.

The original motion to go Mask Optional effective at the end of the day Friday, March 4th failed 3-2.

Anyone entering any of the Ellsworth schools - Ellsworth High School, Ellsworth Elementary-Middle School, Hancock County Technical Center, Ellsworth Adult Ed will not be required to wear a mask. Masking is optional.

UPDATE - Those students who attend HCTC will have to follow the guidance of their sending school. So if your high school requires masking you will have to wear masks while at HCTC.

According to the latest CDC COVID levels, Hancock County has improved to Yellow, or Medium effective March 3rd

Anyone attending the Ellsworth Gold Ball Game at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor Friday night will still have to wear a mask, as the facility's guidelines have not changed.
