The City of Ellsworth has made great progress in their road work this summer, paving  great stretches of road and fixing streets. While quite a bit of work remains, they continue to work on the roads, taking advantage of the summer weather.

The City of Ellsworth has let us know that the Highway Department and Water Department will be working on the roads August 11-14, tackling the following projects:

Monday 8/11-Thursday 8/14- Highway crews will be working at the intersection of Grant and Main Street, 1 lane will be shut down while they work to replace a storm drain.

Tuesday 8/12- Water crews will be working at the end of Mariaville Road to repair a fire hydrant, all travel lanes will be open, please use caution in the work zone.

Please remember to slow down in the work zones. Be aware of workers who may be in the road, and allow them plenty of room as you pass by. If flaggers are in the area, please follow all directions, and stay off of your phones while driving!
