Ellsworth Opens Weekend Series with Old Town with 10-2 Win [PHOTOS]
The Ellsworth Eagles opened a weekend Home and Home series with the Old Town Coyotes 10-2 in Old Town on Friday, May 18th. The two teams will meet in Ellsworth on Saturday, May 19th at 12 Noon.
Bradly Smith was dominant on the mound for Ellsworth, scattering just 4 hits for the complete game win. He struck out 5 and walked 2. He retired the first 7 batters he faced in a row.
Tanner Evans had a single in the bottom of the 3rd for Old Town. Dylan Street had a single in the 5th. Brenden Gasaway singled in the bottom of the 7th and Tanner Evans doubled to drive in Old Town's 2 runs.
Jacob Dubay and Josh Wheeler pitched for Old Town. Combined they allowed 16 hits and 10 runs. They struck out 5 and walked 3.
Ellsworth scored 1 run in the 1st, 3 in the 3rd and 4 runs in the 5th to take a 8-0 lead before scoring 2 more runs in the top of the 7th.

Ellsworth is now 11-1 on top of the Heal Point Standings while Old Town is 7-4.
