Ellsworth Man Dies in Crash on Winkumpaugh Road
An Ellsworth man has died following an early morning accident on the Winkumpaugh Road.
Ellsworth Police were called to the area of 309 Winkumpaugh Road at around 12:45 Saturday morning. Newscenter Maine reports 51-year-old Mark Webber of Ellsworth was alone in the Volvo SUV when it left the road and hit an embankment. Police say he was not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.
Ellsworth Fire Department and EMS attempted to help Webber, but he died at the scene.
