Ellsworth Jackson Curtis Named Big East Male Basketball Player of the Week
Congratulations to Ellsworth High School's Jackson Curtis, who was named the Big East Male Basketball Player of the Week, for the 3rd week of the season, the week ending December 29th in voting by the Big East Coaches.
Ellsworth went 1-1 on the week, beating the Presque Isle Wildcats on Thursday night, December 27th 61-45 and falling to the Caribou Vikings Friday afternoon, December 28th, 70-56 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth.
In those 2 games, Curtis had 50 points, 23 against Caribou and 27 against Presque Isle. He had a total of 18 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals to go along with the 50 points.
Ellsworth is 5-2 as of January 2nd, good enough for 4th place in the Class B Boy's Heal Point Standings. The Eagles are on the road for the next 4 games. They play Saturday January 5th at Hermon at 4:30PM, at Washington Academy on Tuesday January 9th at 6:30PM, at MDI on Thursday January 10th at 7PM and at Belfast on Saturday, January 12th at 2:30PM.
