The Ellsworth Girls Soccer fell to the MCI Huskies at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth on a beautiful Saturday, with temperatures approaching 80, by the score of 5-2

MCI scored first when Danielle Dow scored on a corner kick with 26:32 remaining in the 1st Half.

The Half ended with MCI up 1-0.

The Eagles scored with just 2:30 elapsed in the 2nd Half, when Samantha Carter found the back of the net, assisted by Paige Sawyer.

Ava Patterson then scored a pair of goals for MCI, both within 6 minutes at the 37:22 and 30:47 mark to put MCI up 3-1.

Olivia Allen then scored twice within 3 minutes at the 23:06 and 20:52 mark to increase MCI's lead 5-1

Abby Bland scored the final goal of the game for Ellsworth with 4:12 remaining, with an assist from Morgan Clifford.

Kayla Duhaime was in goal for Ellsworth, with Autumn Paul coming on in after Duhaime was injured.

Leah Bussell was in goal for the Huskies.

Ellsworth now 2-3 will host GSA on Tuesday, September 24th at 6PM

MCI now 4-1 will host Maranacook on Tuesday, September 24th at 3:30
