The Ellsworth Girls Varsity Soccer Team defeated the Old Town Coyotes 7-1 at Victory Field in Old Town on Monday, September 16th

Samantha Carter started the scoring in the 1st Half with 30:54 remaining with an assist from Paige Sawyer

Paige then knocked the ball into the net with 14:15 remaining in the 1st Half, with an an assist from Addi Laslie to make the score 2-0.

Abby Bland scored unassisted with 12:58 left in the half to make the score 3-0, where the score remained at half time.

After the intermission, with just 3:31 elapsed, Morgan Clifford scored to make it 4-0 Ellsworth.

Paige Sawyer scored her 2nd goal of the afternoon with another assist from Laslie to make it 5-0 with 25:15 remaining

Old Town denied Ellsworth the shutout, when Gabrielle Cody scored with 19 minutes remaining, with the assist going to Claudia Damboise.

Sawyer scored her 3rd gol of the game, with Laslie again getting the assist, her 3rd of the game with 14:10 remaining to make it 6-1.

Finally Laslie scored unassisted with 9:48 remaining.

Kayla Duhaime and Autumn Paul were in goal for Ellsworth.

Ellsworth, now 2-2 plays host to MCI on Saturday, September 21st at 11AM

Old Town is 0-2-1 and will play at Foxcroft Academy, Wednesday, September 18th at 4PM.
