Ellsworth Girls Double Up Belfast 61-28 [STATS]

The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team traveled to Belfast on Friday afternoon December 23rd and came away with a 61-28 victory over the Lions. The Eagles enter the Christmas Break undefeated with a 3-0 record.

The game in Belfast was never really in doubt as Ellsworth raced out to a 18-3 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. It was 35-12 at the end of the 1st Half and 48-17 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Katelynn Bagley with 15 points, while Trinity Montigny had 13 points and Hannah Sargent 12 points. Bagley, Montigny and Sargent each had a 3-pointer. Ellsworth was 8-11 from the free throw line.

Belfast was led by June Robertson-McIntire with 7 points while Macy Gale and Grace Fitzjurls each had 5 points. Mackenzie Banks, Alison DeFeo, and Fitzjurls each had a 3-pointer. Belfast was 9-18 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth, now 3-0 is off until Wednesday, December 27th.They play at Presque Isle on the 27th at 5 PM and then on Thursday the 28th at Caribou at 11:30 AM.

Belfast 0-5 plays at Oceanside on Thursday, December 28th at 6PM.
