Ellsworth Girls Beat John Bapst 37-32

Led by Trinity Montigny's 17 points, the Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team defeated John Bapst 37-32 at Eastern Maine Community College on Monday, January 17th. Montigny is now 14 points away from 1000 points!

The score was tied 5-5 at the end of the 1st Quarter. Montigny had 3 points for Ellsworth and Sara Shea had 2 points. For the Cursaders Savannah Libby and Sydney Ellis each had 2 points and Kate Harriman was 1-2 from the free throw line.

John Bapst led 14-13 at the end of the 1st Half. Jamie McQuarrie had 5 points for the Crusaders in the 2nd Quarter with a 3-pointer and Jayda Smith and Lacey Scanlon each had 2 points. For Ellsworth Montigny had 5 points with a 3-pointer and Sierra Andrews had a 3-pointer.

In the 3rd Quarter Ellsworth outscored John Bapst 15-8 to take a 28-22 lead. Montigny had 4 points and Casey Carter, Sara Shea and Samantha Carter each had a 3-pointer for the Eagles. Kylie Robidoux chipped in with 2 points. For the Crusaders Jayda Smith ahd 4 points, Emily Mock a 3-pointer and Kate Harriman was 1-2 from the free throw line.

In the 4th Quarter John Bapst outscored Ellsworth 10-9 but it wasn't enough to comeback. Trinity Montigny had 5 points and Morgan Clifford had 2 points and Robidoux 2 points. For the Crusaders Scanlon had 4 points, Sydney Ellis had a 3-pointer, and Harriman had 3 points.

Ellsworth was led by Trinity Montigny with 17 points and Sara Shea had 5 points. The Eagles were 2-5 from the free throw line

John Bapst was led by Lacey Scanlon and Jayda Smith with 6 points each. The Crusaders were 5-10 from the free throw line.
