Ellsworth Girls Basketball Falls to Presque Isle 51-35

The Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team got off to a slow start in Presque Isle on Saturday, December 28th, trailing the Wildcats 12-2 after the 1st Quarter and fell to the Wildcats 51-35.Presque Isle led 24-15 at the end of the 1st Half and 37-26 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Trinity Montigny with 18 points. She had 4 3-pointers. Sierra Andrews had 8 points for Ellsworth. Sara Shea had the Eagles other 3-pointer. Ellsworth was 4-9 from the free throw line.

Presque Isle was led by Faith Sjoberg with 17 points. She had 3 3-pointes. Anna Jeandreau had 13 points and a 3-pointer. Alana Legassie had the other 3-pointer for Presque Isle. The Wildcats were 6-14 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is 3-2 and will play on Tuesday, December 31st at 2 p.m at Husson University against John Bapst. That game will be broadcast on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device. They then will play at Caribou on Wednesday, January 1st at 2:30 p.m. in a game that will be video streamed on WHOU
