The Ellsworth Girls Soccer Team rushed out to a 3-0 lead and needed a goal with 18 seconds left in regulation to tie the MCI Huskies on Monday afternoon October 14th in Pittsfield. After Double Overtime the score remained deadlocked 4-4.

With less than 3 minutes gone in the game, Sierra Andrews had scored twice to put Ellsworth up 3-0, with goals coming at the 38:40 and 37:20 marks.

Samantha Carter added another goal for Ellsworth with an assist from Emma Whitney, and Ellsworth was up 3-0 with 30:30 remaining in the 1st Half.

MCI's Alexandria Mason scored with 18:40 left in the 1st Half, and the score ended 3-1 Ellsworth at the end of the 1st Half.

But then Alahnna McCarron scored with 26:10 left in the 1st Half to make the score 3-2 Ellsworth.

Mason added her 2nd goal of the game with 13:15 left in regulation to make the score tied 3-3, and then Olivia Allen scored for the Huskies to make it 4-3 with 3:14 remaining

Addi Laslie's goal with 18 seconds remaining with an assist from Julie Mattson tied the score.

The 2 teams battled through 2 5 minute overtime periods before the game was called a draw.

Ellsworth, now 5-6-1 has 2 games remaining in the regular season. They play at Hermon on Wednesday October 16th at 6PM before closing out the regular season in Bar Harbor on Monday, October 21st at 6PM against the MDI Trojans.

MCI, now 6-5-1 has 2 games remaining in the regular season. They play at Nokomis on Thursday, October 17th at 3:30 before playing Belfast at home on Tuesday, October 22nd at 3:30
