Ellsworth Girls 45 Old Town 40

The Ellsworth Girl's Basketball team came back thanks to a strong 2nd Half, to defeat the Old Town Coyotes at Katsiaficas Gymnasium on Monday, January 18th and improved to 8-3 on the season.

Old Town led 9-8 at the end of the 1st Quarter, and 20-14 at the end of the 1st Half. But, Ellsworth outscored Old Town 17-10 in the 3rd Quarter to take a 31-30 lead before winning 45-40

Ellsworth was led by Madison Card with 19 points and Katelynn Bagley had 8 points. Card and Bagley each had a 3-pointer. Ellsworth was 13-30 from the free throw line.

Old Town was led by Brooke Mishou with 11 points while Mikayla Richards had 9 points. Richards had a 3-pointer. The Coyotes were 11-22 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 8-3 and plays host to Washington Academy on Wednesday, January 20th at 7 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.

Old Town is now 0-13 and plays host to Central, on Wednesday, January 20th at 7 PM.
