Ellsworth Falls to Yarmouth 20-14 in 8 Man Football
The Ellsworth Football Team played their 1st regular 8 man football game on Friday, September 6th, falling to Yarmouth 20-14 in Ellsworth.
Ellsworth had a rough night offensively, turning the ball over 5 times and were limited to 104 total yards.
Defensively they were much better. Connor Crawford led the team with 10 solo tackles. Noah Hughes has 2 fumble recoveries, 2 solo sacks, 2 half sacks and 3 solo tackles and 3 assisted tackles. Dylan Freeman had 2 fumble recoveries, 2 solo sacks, 1 half sacks and 5 assisted tackles. J'Von James had 4 solo tackles, a half sack and 1 assisted tackles. Will Johnson had 6 solo tackles. Jack Sandone had 2 solo tackles and Adam Inman and Chris Cobb each had 1 solo tackle.
The Eagles will look to rebound on Friday, September 13th when they play host to Gray-New Gloucester at 6 PM.
Yarmouth, 1-0 will play at Traip Academy on Saturday, September 14th at 1:30
