Ellsworth Boy’s Basketball Beats John Bapst 70-37 [STATS]
The Ellsworth Boy's Basketball Team beat the John Bapst Crusaders 70-37 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth on Thursday, December 18th.
Ellsworth jumped out to a 13-9 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter and then outscored the Crusaders 25-9 in the 2nd Quarter as the Eagles drained 5 3-pointers to take a 38-18 lead at the end of the 1st Half. The Eagles led 50-31 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.
Ellsworth was led by Colby Eaton and Jackson Barry, who each had 15 points with a 3-pointer. Evan Haskell had 11 points and 3 3's. Dawson Curtis had 10 points with a 3-pointers. Brayden Pooler and Tyrus Baxter each had a 3-pointer. The Eagles had 20 points in the paint and were 4-10 from the free throw line.
John Bapst was led by Colby Haggerty with 12 points and a 3-pointer. Matt Rogerro had 9 points Kam Weymouth and Connor Lutick each had a 3-pointer. The Crusaders had 8 points in the paint, and were 4-13 from the free throw line.
Ellsworth is now 4-1 and will play at Hermon against the Hawks on Saturday, December 20th at 2:30 p.m.
John Bapst is 1-3 and travel up to Presque Isle to play the Wildcats on Saturday, December 20th at 3:30 p.m.
