The Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce announced on Friday, August 29th, that  Heather Seavey  will be the new Executive Director, effective Monday, September 8th.

Seavey, who grew up in Maine, brings more than a decade of experience in nonprofit organizational leadership, event planning, and community development, most recently serving as Deputy Executive Director of the Maine State Bar Association.

She is passionate about strengthening communities and supporting the businesses that make them thrive. She looks forward to working closely with local entrepreneurs, community leaders, and residents to grow membership, expand programming, and highlight Ellsworth as a gateway to Acadia and beyond. She is particularly enthusiastic about collaborating with other area Chambers to foster greater community unity and create opportunities that benefit all of Ellsworth.

“On behalf of the board of directors, I am delighted to welcome Heather as the new executive director. With her leadership experience, energy and vision for the chamber, we’re excited about this next chapter.” says Amy D. Boles.

Heather’s husband, Rob, grew up in Ellsworth, making this role an especially meaningful connection for their family. Even their golden retriever, named Ellsworth, is ready to be part of the fun.!
