Ellsworth Boys Soccer Nipped by GSA 2-1

The Ellsworth Boys Soccer Team was nipped by George Stevens Academy Monday afternoon, falling 2-1 in the Battle of the Eagles in Blue Hill.

George Stevens took a 1-0 lead with 16 minutes left in the 1st Half, Arden Weaver scored.

Some miscommunication led to an own goal with 3:59 left in the 1st Half, and GSA led 2-0 at the end of the 1st Half.

Ellsworth clawed 1 goal back with 32:22 left in the 2nd Half, when Kai Barrett found the back of the net.

Ellsworth is now 0-1-1 and will play John Bapst at the University of Maine on Tuesday, September 14th at 4 p.m.

GSA is 3-0 and plays MDI on Tuesday September 14th and at Orono on Thursday, September 16th.
