Ellsworth Boys Fall to Presque Isle 65-42 [BOX SCORE/STATS]

The Ellsworth Boys Basketball Team took the long ride up I-95 to Presque Isle on Wednesday, December 27th falling to the Wildcats 65-42.

Ellsworth jumped out to a 17-12 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter, but then Presque Isle outscored Ellsworth 21-8 in the 2nd Quarter to take a 33-25 lead. Presque Isle outscored Ellsworth 18-10 in the 3rd Quarter to extend their lead 51-35 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. The Wildcats outscored Ellsworth 14-7 in the 4th Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Jackson Curtis with 16 points. Connor Crawford and Curtis had a 3-pointer each. Ellsworth was 6-12 from the free throw line and was 2-15 from beyond the 3-point arc.

Presque Isle was led by Griffin Guerrette with a game high 25 points. Jonah Hudson had 15 points. Caleb Wheaton and Hudson had 3 3-pointers each and Adam Paterson had a 3-pointer. The Wildcats were 8-13 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth, now 2-3 will play at Caribou on Thursday, December 28th at 2:30 PM.
