Ellsworth Boys Beat John Bapst 52-39 [STATS]

The Ellsworth Boys Basketball Team beat the John Bapst Crusaders 52-39 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on Friday night, January 17th.

John Bapst led 16-10 at the end of the 1st Quarter, but Ellsworth outscored the Crusaders 14-6 in the 2nd Quarter to take  24-22 lead at the Half. Ellsworth led 41-34 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Jackson Barry who was dominant in the paint, and finished with18 points.. Hollis Grindal had 12 points. Dawson Curtis had 10 point s with a 3-pointer. Bryce Hart had a 3-pointer. Ellsworth was without the services of Kyle Kenny who was ill. The Eagles were 8-13 from the free throw line.

John Bapst was led by Colby Hagerty with  18 points, draining 6 3-pointers. Elmer Robichaud had 11 points with 2 3-pointers.Matt Finelli had a 3-pointer. The Crusaders were 4-5 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 11-1. They will travel to Bucksport on Wednesday, January 22nd. That game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370 with the game tipping-off at 6:30 p.m. The game will also be broadcast on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device
