Boil Water Order in Effect for Part of Hancock Street in Ellsworth
The City of Ellsworth has issued a Boil Water Order for part of Hancock Street in Ellsworth.
Anyone who lives on Hancock Street between the intersections of Main Street and Pine Street should BOIL ALL Water for at least 5 minutes before drinking, making ice cubes, washing foods, brushing teeth or in any other activity involving the drinking of water.
This has to do with the repair of the broken water main from last week.
This order will remain in effect until samples sent to the State for testing come back "clean".
Anyone with questions may contact Reggie Winslow, the Superintendent of Water Department at 2-7-667-8632 or the State of Maine Drinking Water Program at 202-287-2070.
