The Ellsworth Eagles fell to the Old Town Coyotes 4-1 in Old Town on Thursday afternoon, May 27th.

Old Town scored  run in the 2nd inning when Peyton Vose doubled to start the inning and scored on back to back singles by Noah Thibodeau and Conner McConnell.

In the 4th inning, Gabe Gifford scored when Casey Downs walked with the bases loaded.

In the 5th inning Conner McConnell reached on a fielder's choice and scored on Seth Haverlock's double. Haverlock in turn scored on Isaac Hayes' single.

Ellsworth's lone run came in the 6th inning. Brett Bragdon reached on a error and scored on David Baugh's single

Hunter Curtis pitched 4.1 innings for Ellsworth allowing 4 runs on 9 hits. He struck out 4 and walked 5. Michael Palmer came on in relief pitching the final 1.2 innings.

For Old Town Matt Seymour pitched a complete game allowing 6 hits and striking out 2. He didn't walk a batter.

For Ellworth Nathan Smith had a pair of singles. Craig Burnett, Brett Bragdon, Michael Palmer and David Baugh all singled.

Ellsworth is 9-5 with 2 games remaining. They play at Husson University Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. against John Bapst and then finish the regular season at home against MDI on Tuesday, June 1st at 4:30 p.m.

Old Town is 12-2 with 2 games left. They play Bangor, Saturday, May 29th at home and finish the regular season Tuesday June 1st at Hermon
