The Ellsworth Eagles Baseball Team fell to the Bucksport Golden Bucks 7-6 on Tuesday evening, in Bucksport, as the Golden Bucks rallied from 2 runs down with 2 out in the 7th inning


In the bottom of the 7th inning Tyler Hallett grounded out to 3rd for the 1st out, and Cam Rich struck out looking for the 2nd out. But then Brandon Elden walked and went to 2nd on a passed ball. Jordan Malenfant reached on a walk and Aydan Maguire reached on an error, scoring Elden to tie the score. Logan Stanley was intentionally walked to load the bases and Gavin Holyoke drove in the winning run, being hit by a pitch for the walk-off win.

Craig Burnett started for Ellsworth and allowed 6 runs on 8 hits. He struck out 12 and walked 5. Michael Palmer took the loss for the Eagles.

For Ellsworth Peter Kablinsky had a double and single. Michael Palmer had 3 singles. Hunter Curtis had a single and Reece Jagels had a pinch-hit single.

For Bucksport Logan Stanley was 4-5 with 2 singles, a double and triple. Gavin Holyoke had a single and was hit by a pitch twice. Brandon Elden had a single and Jordan Malefant had 2 singles.

Owen Gaudreau went 3 innings on the mound for Bucksport with Gavin Holyoke pitching the final 4 innings, picking up the win.
