I never knew about Elf on a Shelf until last year. For those that don't know, Elf on a Shelf is a way for Santa to know who is on the Nice or Naughty lists, combined with a hide-and seek game, where children wake up looking for their elf!

Back when my children (now 23 and 21) were little, we used to say, "Oh look there's an elf!" throughout the day, and when we saw red airplane lights blinking in the night sky, "There's Rudolph!"

Last year, my friend Carrie posted her daily Elf on a Shelf pictures on Facebook. They were fantastic, and a lot of work! She spent hours coming up with elf scenes! There are a lot of ideas on Pinterest, and also on the web, but if you're going to do Elf on a Shelf this year, I'm sure you'll love these pictures! Carrie has graciously allowed me to post her 2012 Elf on a Shelf pictures here. I hope you get inspiration from them, and if you're not doing Elf on a Shelf, that you enjoy them. Their elf's name is Marco, and Carrie's daughter is Amaya, a beautiful child!

My Christmas wish to you is that you experience the joys and magic of Christmas through the eyes of a child! Enjoy these pictures, share them with your friends and remember back to when you were a little child and believed!
