Elf on A Shelf December 15

I love Elf on A Shelf! As I mentioned when I started posting about Elf on A Shelf back on November 30, that my friend Carrie kindly allowed me to post her daily Elf pictures. I know she feels a lot of pressure not repeating the Elf pictures from a year ago.

Yesterday, started off great for many. It was my birthday,  and Marco made a surprise appearance for me! I couldn't believe it!

And then yesterday morning, there was that terrible, senseless tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut. My wife grew up in Newtown with her family, and went to the other elementary school in the town. She's a school teacher. It's just too scary. All I know is I wanted to tell my children who are 23 and 21 that I loved them, and wished that we were all together. For families with younger children, I know it hit even closer. Carrie's daughter was away at a sleepover last night, and I know Carrie just wanted to snuggle her daughter and hold her close. So Marco had a reserved night, and just helped wrap presents.

My wish for you today, is that you remember those little angels from Newton and decide that you want to do something good in their honor this Christmas Season. Go grab a gift off an angel tree, buy a food basket for someone who needs it, pay someone a compliment, do something good and unexpected. You'll feel better, and the world needs it.
