EHS-GSA Tie 1-1

In the Battle of the Eagles on Tuesday, October 3rd, the Ellsworth Eagles and George Stevens Academy Eagles played to a 1-1 draw at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth.

It was a marked improvement for the Ellsworth Eagles who lost to GSA in Blue Hill on Tuesday, September 12th in the 3rd game of the season.

Emma Whitney put Ellsworth ahead 1-0 via a header with an assist from Kiana Maddocks-Wilbur.

GSA knotted the score in the 2nd Half, and both teams played scoreless the rest of the way, through two overtimes.

Ellsworth is now 2-7-1 and travel to Thorndike on Thursday, October 5th at 3:30 PM to play the Mount View Mustangs.

GSA is 3-6-2 and will play host to MDI on Thursday, October 5th at 5 PM.
