The Ellsworth Eagles dropped a 1-0 game to the Mount View Mustangs on Friday night September 8th in a game that was shortened because of lightning.

With 22 minutes remaining in the game, the lightning came, and after waiting for nearly 90 minutes the game was called. Teams are required to wait 30 minutes after the last bolt of lightning or clap of thunder before resuming and each incident of lightning or thunder causes the 30 minute clock to restart.

Mount View scored with about 10 minutes elapsed in the 2nd Half.

Ellsworth, now 2-1, plays at GSA on Monday, September 11th at 4 PM.

Mount View, 4-0, plays host to Winslow, Tuesday, September 12th at 3:30 PM
