Eagles Fall to Hawks 15-3

The Ellsworth Eagles fell to the Hermon Hawks on Thursday, May 24th in Ellsworth, losing 15-3. The Eagles have 1 game remaining, against MDI on Tuesday, May 29th, on Senior Recognition Day.

On Thursday, Hermon scored 4 runs in the 1st inning, 8 in the 4th and 3 in the 7th inning while Ellsworth scored their 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. Hermon had 21 hits while Ellsworth had 7.

For Ellsworth Mariah Young was 3-3 with a double. Katelynn Bagley and Shelby Cote each had a double. Sara Shea and Hannah Sargent singled. Young had a stolen base.

Mackenzie Chipman took the loss for Ellsworth, striking out 4 in the game. Bre Oakes picked up the win for Hermon, striking out 7. Neither pitcher waked a batter.
