Drumroll Please…. 4 Timpani Drums Arrive at MDI High School
The MDI High School Music Boosters were able to make one of MDI Music Director Michael Remy's wish list come true, with the purchase of a Yamaha Timpani Drum Set for the Music Department. The money came from the outstanding support by the MDI community who support the Music Department and the Boosters who purchased citrus fruit, pizza kits, Christmas trees and who attended the concerts!

The Timpani set will make their formal appearance at the MDI Spring Concert on June 1st.
Nearly 25 percent of MDI High School students participate in the music program, more than twice the national average. The MDI Music Boosters assist in the cost of purchasing and maintaining the instruments the students use. The Music Boosters have been supporting the program for over 40 years.
The Spring Concert will take place at June 1st and in addition to the new Timpani will showcase the Concert Band, the Orchestra and Chorus. Music Booster Summer Scholarship Awards will be announced at the Concert.
