Dexter Girls Tip Old Town 43-39 In the Great Harbor Shoot-Out

The Dexter Girl's Junior High Team tipped Old Town 44-39 in the Junior High Girls Finals of the 25th Annual Great Harbor Shoot-Out on Sunday, March 19th at  MDI High School.

Dexter jumped out to a 14-10 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. Avery Herrick had 7 points for Dexter including a 3-pointer. Peyton Grant had 5 points with a 3-pointer. Elizabeth Kinney had 2 points. Hannah Richards had 6 points for OId Town and Sydney Loring had 4 points.

Dexter outscored Old Town 11-3 in the 2nd Quarter to take a 25-13 lead at the end of the 1st Half. For Dexter Herrick had 6 points, Grant had 4 points and Kinney had 1 point. Richards had Old Town's  points.

in the 3rd Quarter Dexter outscored Old Town 11-9 and Dexter led 34-22 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Kinney had 4 points for Dexter, Grant had a 3-pointer and and Abby Wakefield had 2 points. For Old Town Madelyn Emerson had 4 points, Richards had a 3-pointer and Loring had 2 points.

In the 4th Quarter, Old Town made a valiant effort to cut Dexter's lead. Richards had 11 points in the Quarter, including 2 3-pointers before fouling out with 20.9 seconds remaining. Emerson and Loring each had 2 points for Old Town. For Dexter, Herrick had 5 points, going 5-6 from the free throw line. Grant had 4 points.

Dexter was led by Avery Herrick with 18 points, while Peyton Grant had 16 points. Elizabeth Kinney had 7 points and Abby Wakefield had 2 points. Dexter was 16-21 from the free throw line. Also playing for Dexter were Olivia Peakes, Aliviah Anderson, Cheyanne Been, Jade Wintle, Brooke Simpson, and Jasmine Lewis.

Old Town was led by Hannah Richards who had a game high 23 points. Sydney Loring had 8 points, Madelyn Emerson had 6 points and Lexi Thibodeau had 2 points. Old Town was 10-14 from the free throw line. Also playing for Old Town were Maddie Arsenault, Julie Preble, Kalee Braden, Chloe Albert and Logan Gardiner.
