David Kerns Upped at Bar Harbor PD

Lieutenant David Kerns  is now the new second-in-command at the Bar Harbor Police Department. Lt. Kerns was promoted by Chief Jim Willis, and fills the newly created position of administrative lieutenant. This position was created as part of the agreement between Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island for the "sharing" of Chief Jim Willis between the two towns.

Lieutenant Kerns is a 15 year veteran of the Bar Harbor Police Department, beginning his career as a part time summer police officer while still attending the University of Maine.
