Cap’n Nemos Relief Update December 12

The Mad Hatter in Bar Harbor is holding a fundraiser today, December 12th for the Cap'n Nemos Relief Fund beginning at 3 PM. Local bartenders will be donating their tips along with the Hatter donating 10% of their sales. Happy Hour prices as usual and DJ L Train from 7-10pm and Cassiar O'Neill will be behind the bar from 10 - 10:30 PM.

The location of the Auction has been changed to The Southwest Harbor Legion Hall’s downstairs. It will still be held on the 21st and run from 9:30 to 5:30. Thank you all for your tremendous continued support for this multifaceted fund raiser!

The event on Saturday, December 21st at the Southwest Harbor American Legion Hall for the Cousins has a name “Nemostock – Rising From the Ashes” and will be held from noon until 10pm . Entry is by donation. BYOB and potluck. 9 musicians/bands will play throughout the day, including an open mike slot from 8-9pm.

Ways To Help

There are two funds set up right for cash donations.

Any branch of the First will accept your donations. The account name is “We Love Cap’n Nemos”. You can also mail a check to The First, PO Box 86 Southwest Harbor, Maine 04679

Also a Go Fund Me account can be accessed online and as of Thursday morning, December 12th, a little over $16,300 has been donated.

Donations of clothes, household stuff, cash and food can be dropped off at the Southwest Harbor Public Library, the old Gordius Garage behind McKinley Market in Bass Harbor, Caroll Drug Store in Southwest Harbor, Mad Hatter or Queen Anne’s Flower shop in Bar Harbor, and the Ale House in Ellsworth. In Bangor, items may be dropped off at Atlantic Designs on Outer Hammond Street
