Bucksport High School Principal Named New Superintendent of RSU 25

Jim Boothby, the retiring Superintendent of RSU 25 (Bucksport Area Schools) announced that Dr. Josh Tripp will become the next Superintendent of RSU 25

Dr. Tripp is currently the principal of Bucksport High School, and has been a long term administrator, teacher, and coach in Bucksport.  Beginning as a math teacher at Bucksport High School from 2002- 2013, he was hired to be the principal of Bucksport Middle School in 2014, and in 2018 he became the principal of Bucksport High School.

Dr. Tripp earned his bachelor’s degree in 2003, his Master Degree in Educational Leadership in 2013, and was awarded his Doctoral in Educational Leadership in 2022 from the University of Maine.

Dr. Tripp will assume his new responsibilities effective July 1, 2024.
