Bucksport Girls Fall to Central 48-33 [STATS]

The Bucksport Girls Basketball Team lost their 1st game of the 2023-24 season on Wednesday, January 3rd, falling to the Central Red Devils 48-33 in East Corinth .

Central led 10-5 at the end of the 1st Quarter. They increased their lead in the 2nd Quarter outscoring Bucksport 19-7 to lead 29-12 at the end of the 1st Half. The Red Devils led 42-18 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Bucksport was led by Jetta Shook with 14 points, while Samantha Cyr had 12 points. The Golden Bucks drained 6 3-pointers, with Cyr having 3, Shook 2 and Makayla Miller 1. They were 3-8 from the free throw line.

Central was led by Mary Allen with 23 points while Sidney Gray had 16 points. Allen and Madison Pinkham had Central's 3 pointers. The Red Devils were 4-8 from the free throw line.

Bucksport is now 5- and will host Dexter on Friday, January 5th at 6:30 p.m.

Central is now 4-2 and will host PVHS on Friday, January 5th at 5 p.m.
