The Red Sox lost to the Texas Rangers 6-4 on Sunday night, June 14th, dropping to 12-22 at Fenway Park this season.

Connolly Early lasted just 4.2 innings. He allowed 11 hits and 6 runs, striking out 3 and walking 2. He did record his 100th career strikeout in the 1st inning. It took him only 18 games, making him the 2nd fastest in Red Sox history to eclipse the mark, behind Daisuke Matsuzaka who needed 15 games.

Willson Contreras was 3-4 with a pair of home runs. He now has 16 on the season. He has reached base safely in 23 of his last 24 games dating back to May 16th.

Masataka Yoshida was 2-4 with a double.

Wilyer Abreu was 1-4 with a RBI single.

Boston is off on Monday, and will open a 3-game series with the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park with the pregame starting at 5:45 p.m. and 1st pitch at 6:45 p.m. on WDEA AM 1370.
