Richard Fitts made his 1st start for the Red So and was cruising through 5 innings, but allowed 2 homers in the 6th inning. He ended up taking the loss and is 0-1. He allowed 6 hits and 3 runs, striking out 4. Justin Wilson and Justin Slaten combined to hold the Rangers hitless the last 2 innings, striking out 1.

Kristen Campbell was 1-4 with a double. Wilyer Abreu was 1-1 with a double, driving in a run. He walked 3 times.

Boston left 10 runners on base and were 0-12 with runners in scoring position.

Boston is now 1-3 while Texas is 3-1.

The Red Sox begin a 3-game series in Baltimore on Monday afternoon, March 31st. The game has been moved up a half hour because of weather, and the pregame will now be at 1:35 with the 1st pitch at 2:35 on AM 1370 WDEA.
