Beware the Scam

Scammers are out there! Beware! We just received a phone call on Saturday morning from 207-435-7463 informing us that Central Maine Power was going to disconnect us within 30 minutes for non-payment of our bill

A couple problems

• I receive my power from Versant Power not CMP
• CMP or Versant will never call you telling you that your power will be disconnected within 30 minutes for non-payment

When I spoke to the live operator he started cursing at me because he realized I was playing along with him!

In these days of phishing and constant scam phone calls never ever give your credit card to someone who randomly calls you!
