Barker Finishes Maine Amateur Tied for 14th

MDI's Brent Barker started the final day of the 99th Maine Amateur Golf Tournament in 15th place, and after a tough day, actually improved 1 spot, finishing the tourney, played at Belgrade Lakes Country Club in 14th place.

The course played much harder on the final day, as only 1 golfer shot under par,(1 under 70) and 2 shot par 71. Everyone else shot over par, including Barker, who after shooting a par 71 on Wednesday, shot 7 over on Thursday. Barker finished with rounds of 75-71-78 for a 3 day total of 224, 17 strokes behind the winner, Jack Wyman from Portland.
