Bar Harbor Town Council Directs Cruise Ship Committee to Put a Cap on Cruise Ships
The Bar Harbor Town Council passed two motions in relation to Cruise Ships for the 2021 season at the Tuesday, November 17th meeting
First the Council passed a motion to Direct the Cruise Ship Committee to put a cap on the limit of cruise ships in a year. This passed 6-1 with Councilor Peacock voting againt the motion. In favor were Councilors Cough, Dobbs, Goldthwait, Hochman, Minutolo and Friedman.
There was not a number associated with the limit.
Secondly, the Council passed a motion to Table Allowing or Denying Cruse Ships until after the 1st of the Year for the 2021 season, 5-2. Voting against were Councilors Friedman and Minutolo. Voting for were Councilors Cough, Dobbs, Goldthwait, Hochman and Peacock.
