Bar Harbor Town Council and Planning Board to Hold Joint Meeting re: Vacation Rentals

The Bar Harbor Town Council and Bar Harbor Planning Board will hold a joint workshop this afternoon, Wednesday, September 9 at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom webinar. This workshop will be a discussion of possible changes to the town’s vacation rental regulations, part of an ongoing review process.

Specific topics related to vacation rentals that are expected to be discussed include, but are not limited to, transferability of vacation rental licenses/permits, what is an appropriate cap on the number of vacation rentals that are not an owner’s primary residence, and how such regulations help meet/further the goals of the town’s Housing Policy Framework.
