I saw this post Thursday afternoon from the Bar Harbor Fire Department on Facebook and honestly, I can't stop crying. They were approached by tourists, one of whom has ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gherig's Disease). On her bucket list was to get her feet wet at Sand Beach in Acadia National Park.

Within 12 hours of the request the Bar Harbor Fire Deparment was able to assemble a crew, coordinate with National Park Service Rangers, and get a beach wheelchair provided by the Park Service.

The result...Memories made, a item crossed off of Laura's bucket list and a lesson to all on being kind and caring.
