Bar Harbor Bank & Trust recently awarded 10 $1000 career and technical education scholarships to students in Northern New England.

The scholarship is awarded  to graduates who attended a technical career program as part of their high school curriculum and are planning to attend a college or technical school in the academic year immediately following graduation.

This year’s scholarship recipients will be eligible to apply for an additional $1,000 in 2025 to be used toward a second year of college or technical school.

 Jessika Bridges of Prospect Harbor, Maine, is a graduate of Sumner Memorial High School and attended Hancock County Technical Center. She plans to study nursing at the University of Maine at Fort Kent.

Lexi Donaghy of Machias, is a graduate of Machias Memorial High School and attended Coastal Washington County Institute of Technology. She plans to study early childhood education at Washington County Community College.

 Jessica Dyer of Brooklin,  is a graduate of Deer Isle-Stonington High School and attended Hancock County Technical Center. She plans to study microbiology at the University of Maine.

Patience Craig of Topsham, Maine, is a graduate of Mt. Ararat High School and attended Region 10 Technical High School. She plans to study elementary education at Husson University

 Mirielly Ferreira of Nashua, New Hampshire, is a graduate of Nashua High School South and attended Wilbur H. Palmer Career & Technical Education Center. She plans to study animal science at the University of New Hampshire.

Ryan Page of Ascutney, Vermont, is a graduate of Windsor High School and attended Hartford Area Career & Technology Center. He plans to study computer science software engineering at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Marissa Taylor of Manchester, New Hampshire, attended Manchester High School and attended Manchester School of Technology. She plans to study psychology at the University of Southern Maine.
