Restoration Details:Bangor Hydro and Maine Public Service crews have been busy today handling various widespread outages throughout our service territories, caused by the extreme winds hammering the state. At this hour more than 800 customers are without service in Bowerbank, Deer Isle, Glenburn and areas in between. Northern Maine is also experiencing high winds but Maine Public’s service area hasn’t been as widely affected by outages. Crews are on standby and will continue to monitor the weather and any outages, restoring electricity as quickly and safely as possible.

Customers are reminded to never touch a downed line or a tree in contact with one, fully charge cell phones so they’re ready in case of emergency, and those using alternate heating sources should be sure to follow manufacturer safety precautions.
