Description of Event:

Outages due to strong winds and heavy rain

Restoration Details:Bangor Hydro crews are making rapid progress today restoring power to customers affected by Friday's strong winds and rain. The storm brought down power lines and tree limbs in Hancock, Washington and Penobscot Counties. Tree crews have been brought in to assist with removing broken tree limbs. The improved weather conditions have aided in the restoration efforts.

Customers are reminded that it is extremely dangerous and possibly deadly to use generators inside a home or garage. Any alternate heat source or power source must be used in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines to prevent injury or even death. Customers should also avoid touching fallen power lines and trees touching them and report these dangerous situations to Bangor Hydro.
