Talk about a long walk for a great cause! On Saturday, July 22nd, Acadian Youth Sports Board Members Wyman Tapley and Jon Nicholson will join Kebo Valley Golf Club staff Peiter DeVos and Eric Morris to play 100 holes of golf at Kebo Valley Golf Club in Bar Harbor. Here's the kicker, they will walk EVERY hole and hit EVERY shot, from start to finish!

Kebo Valley Golf Course is 6,131 yards for 18 holes. 90 holes is 30,655 yards. There are 1760 yards in a mile. That means 100 holes is more than 25 miles! Now they will have caddies to carry their clubs, I'm not sure how many they'll need, and they will begin play at day break, around 4:30 AM and expect to finish at around 8:30 PM!

Peiter Devos is the Head Professional at Kebo. Wyman Tapley is a board member of both Kebo and Acadian Youth Sports. Jon Nicholson is a former president of Kebo Valley, a board member of Acadian Youth Sports and the varsity golf coach at MDI High School. Eric Morris is the Assistant Pro at Kebo.

They are seeking sponsors, to donate a set dollar amount, or per hole played! Every donation will go to a driving a chipping practice area for Acadian Youth Sports members at Kebo. The 10 Bay practice range is estimated to cost $45,000.

You can send your donations or pledges to Acadian Youth Sports, PO Box 656, Bar Harbor Maine, 04609 or by contact Peiter Devos at Kebo Valley Golf Course.
