It's not often your child can go to a camp and be taught by the PGA Professional of the Year and play on one of the best golf courses in the world. But that is the opportunity with the Acadia Youth Sports Future Trojan Golf Camp, which begins Tuesday July 20th.

The camp is 4 weeks long, and will meet every Tuesday, July 20th through August 10th from 4:30 to 6pm. The first week will meet at Pirates Cove on Route 3 in Bar Harbor, with weeks 2-4 at Kebo Valley Golf Course

The camp is available for youngsters 6-12 and costs $139.00 per child. Registration includes instruction, pizza party and awards at the end of camp.

Children will receive instruction in putting, chipping, short game and full swing. They will also be instructed in the use of birdie ball. Birdie ball is a limited flight practice golf ball that you can hit anywhere. It has a limited flight distance of 40 yards, but it feels and flies just like a real golf ball

For more information on the AYS Future Trojan Camp you can call Peiter DeVos at Kebo Valley Golf Course 288-3000 extension 1.
