[UPDATE] - What a great community we live in! The goal has been met and the kids will be going to Disney to compete!
The Acadia Youth Sports ACES Cheering Squad had a fabulous competition in Springfield, Massachusetts over the weekend. They received the bid/invite to compete at Quest, which is a national competition at ESPN Disney.
Sounds great right? The problem is that the competition is on March 10th and 11th. There's no time for traditional fundraisers. There are obviously some children that can't afford to go! It costs approximately $1000 for each child, which includes, airfare, accommodations, park passes entry fee and a bit of cash for food and spending.
There have been a few businesses that have stepped up immediately to sponsor a child at the $1000 and above level, namely Timberland Acres RV Park,  Lotus Medical and Aesthetics, Realty of Maine - Ashley Grindle, Ellsworth Tennis Center,  First National Bank, Saunders Marine Service,  Wyman and Robin-Sue Tapley and Jerry and Tara Burns.
Naturally, not everyone can commit to donating $1000. A GoFundMe Page has been established, so if you can contribute at all, it would be most appreciated.
Acadia Youth Sports is an established 501(c)(3) organization.
