MDI High School Athletic Directory Bunky Dow stated "I appreciate everything Coach Arnold has done for the High School and Island community, along with the MDI High School football program. With the recent decrease of players playing at the lower level (Acadia Youth Sports) and the COVID issue, he led a team that improved weekly and was playing their best football toward the end of this season. A search for his replacement will begin very soon."

Prior to becoming Head Coach Arnold has been an Assistant Coach under Coach Mark Shields for 9 years. He graduated from the University of Michigan where he played 2 years for football and 2 years on the Track and Field Team. He also worked in the Michigan Athletic Department for 2 years working with the football team and in Athletic Development.

Prior to coming to Maine, he was the Head Football Coach at Marecellus and Brethren High Schools in the State of Michigan.
