Roundtable Discussion with the Regional Planning Committee [VIDEO]

I was asked to facilitate a conversation with the Regional Planning Committee about potential changes from an AOS (Alternative Organization Structure) to a RSU (Regional School Unit).

I sat down with Becky Keefe, Jessica Stewart and Susan Allen for a wide-ranging discussion.

Some of the questions that were asked and answered about any potential reorganization

• Why makes these big changes?
• Where do things stand now?
• Who is paying for Conners Emerson?
• Advantages for sports, athletics and extracurriculars?
• What about Busing?
• What about school choice for those communities that currently have school choice?

The Reorganization Planning Committee will hold a community forum in Northeast Harbor and Tremont to review the the reorganization plan, hear questions and collect feedback.

The Northeast Harbor meeting will take place at The Neighborhood House on Wednesday, November 19th from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Tremont Meeting will be held at the Tremont School Gym on Thursday, November 20th from 6 to 8 pm.
