It is so easy to point out the negative. The bad and negative news surrounds us. But, the good news, the acts of kindness are so often unrecognized, and these are what should be trumpeted in the hopes that others will replicate these kind acts and the ripple will spread!

A friend and co-worker, Katie, took her children exploring Downeast on Sunday. They went to Tidal Falls in Hancock, and the kids even went in the water!

They started to make their way back to Brewer and stopped off at Jordan's Snack Bar. Garrett, the younger, fell on the playground and hurt himself (not seriously). A a very sweet lady gave him a crocheted kitty she had made. There was a tag attached from the Random Acts of Crochet Kindness USA which read

This crochet item was made especially for you to fine, From someone just being kind. Yours to keep or give away. Hope it brought a smile to your day. Please share where this was found and we'd love to see a photo.

Well this Random Act of Crochet Kindness made this 3 year old's day!

And as you can see his night too, as he snuggled the crocheted cat as he went to bed!

So today, I challenge you, do an act of kindness. Pay for someone's coffee.. smile at someone and say Have a nice day...Let someone get into traffic. You know the drill. Being mean is easy. Being kind takes work! But the world will be so much better if we can all choose to be kind.
