America’s Favorite Movie Star

The annual Harris Poll has just been released of America's Favorite Movie Star and on top is Denzel Washington, who is reclaiming a spot he last held in 2008. Washington toppled Johnny Depp from the number one slot, which he has held the last two years. The top 10 favorite movie stars:

1. Denzel Washington
2. Clint Eastwood
3. Tom Hanks
4. Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt (tie)
6. John Wayne
7. George Clooney
8. Harrison Ford
9. Meryl Streep
10. Matt Damon

• John Wayne has the distinction of being the only actor to be on this list every year since 1994 -- even though he has been dead since 1979.
• This is the first time since 1998 that Brad Pitt has made the list of favorite movie stars.
• With three new names on the list this year -- Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep and Matt Damon -- three had to fall off. They are Sandra Bullock, Will Smith and Adam Sandler.
